According to a study by U.S. researchers drugs used to prevent and treat osteoporosis and similar diseases could lower the risk of breast cancer by almost 40 percent.
The study involved 6000 women between 20 and 69 of age which were interviewed about their bone health, whether they’d been diagnosed with osteoporosis and their history of bisphosponate use. For testing purposes half had been diagnosed with invasive cancer and half not.
