Antibody acting against haemorrhage

A specific antibody could limit or stop internal bleeding cased by shot wounds or the ones appeared after a car crash. Specifically, when there is a trauma the body releases into the blood a protein called histone which starts destroying blood vessels.
Scientists from Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation discovered an antibody which blocks the protein’s capacity of causing damage in the wounded area. This breakthrough will serve for creating new ways of treating severe trauma.
