There are 4 main food groups as follows:

Group 1 – Proteins (meat, fish, milk, eggs, nuts, cheese, mollusks, soy, yogurt)

Group 2 – carbohydrates (bread, pasta, cereals, bakery products, starch vegetables, honey, sugar)

Gropu 3 – Starch free vegetables (tubers, herbs, spices)

Group 4 – All types of fruits

Risks of improper food group association

  • prevents nutrients absorption
  • disturbs digestive enzymes activity (pepsin)
  • alters complete digestion and leads to colon illness
  • frequently abdominal swellings and cramps, burning stomach  sensations, flatulence
