Advices for a healthy digestion
Here are some advices to ensure you have a healthy digestive system:
- try to have moderate portions, as the sto
mach is having problems to digest when it has too much food; - chew each bite at least 20 times, in order to chop the food well and to stop the stomach from making too much digestive fluid;
- drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, as people often mistake the hunger sensation with thirst sensation;
- avoid loosening substances as they dehydrate the organism and eliminate nutrients;
- exercise regularly, as it stimulates intestine muscles to contract;
- do not eat when you are nervous, as the body eliminates cortisol, aka stress hormone, which, in large quantities causes high blood sugar;
- you should drink daily, in the morning on the empty stomach, a teaspoon of whole wheat with natural juice;
- eat pro-biotic yogurt as it helps rebuilding micro biologic intestinal (gut) flora
